All is set for the commencement of the much-anticipated 2024/25 Eastern Regional Division Two Middle League, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Koforidua Youth Resource Centre.

The Eastern Regional Football Association (ERFA), under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Linford Boadu Asamoah, has announced that this year's Middle League will feature six zonal champions, each competing for a single coveted slot in next season’s Division One League.

In his address to the qualified clubs, Mr. Asamoah lauded all the zonal champions for their resilience and determination in making it this far in the competition. He urged the teams to continue exhibiting discipline, integrity, and fair play throughout the tournament.

Highlighting the Association’s commitment to talent development, Mr. Asamoah revealed that more “Catch Them Young” referees will be used throughout the tournament. He encouraged clubs, officials, and supporters to support and motivate these young referees as they pursue their careers in officiating.

According to the ERFA's Head of Competitions, the Middle League will see three matches played per match day — scheduled for mid-week Wednesdays and weekends on Saturdays — promising a festival of football for fans across the region.

The six qualified teams representing their respective zones are:

  1. Right to Dream Academy (Old Akrade) – Zone One
  2. Heart of Eagles FC (Amanfrom) – Zone Two
  3. Shalom FC (Nsawam) – Zone Three
  4. Golden Warriors FC (Akim Yayaso) – Zone Four
  5. Armour FC (Anyiman) – Zone Five
  6. Afram Plains Royals FC (Afram Plains) – Zone Six

These clubs will compete in a round-robin format to determine which team secures the single promotion slot to the Division One League — a dream every club is eager to achieve.

With high expectations, budding talents, and promising referees all coming together, this year’s Eastern Regional Middle League promises to be one of the most exciting in recent memory.
