New Edubiase found a new lease of life in the Glo Premier League after their disappointment in the CAF Confederation Cup and the FA Cup.

Eliminated in the two competitions within a seven-day period, the Bekwai side were back in action at the Gyamfi Park where they defeated Heart of Lions 2-0 on Sunday in the league.

A first half opener in the 40th minute by Eugene Amoah put Edubiase in front before Stephen Manu sealed victory with a strike in the 90th minute.

The win lifts Edubiase, who have a game in hand to eighth on the league standings.
