Michael Essien will turn up in the Ghana camp Sunday evening before the Black Stars' opening group game scheduled for Monday.
The Black Stars midfielder has returned to fitness after recuperating from a hamstring injury whiles playing for Chelsea in a Champions League match game last month.
Essien has been taking part in full training sessions for Chelsea over the past four days prior to his participation in the African Cup of Nations in Angola, which starts on Sunday.
The player did not join in at Ghana's pre-tournament base in Nelspruit, South Africa as he was allowed to remain in Chelsea as he continued his recovery.
Ghana lines up first against Togo in Group B on Monday in Cabinda and it will be followed by the clash against Ivory Coast four days later before the final match with Burkina Faso.
