Ethics Committee Gets New Four-Year Mandate

The Congress of the Ghana Football Association has appointed five (5) members of the Ethics Committee for a new four (4) year mandate starting from August 27, 2024.

The Committee is made up of Dr. Isaac Annan, Esq. as Chairperson and Linda Ofori-Kwafo, Esq. as Vice- Chairperson. The rest of the membership is made up of Dr. Charles Takyi, Wilfred Neneh Addico and Ayishatu Farida Iddriss.

The membership of the Ethics Committee was unanimously endorsed by Congress in conformity with Article 57 of the GFA Statutes.

The GFA Statutes, under Article 57 (headed – Ethics Committee) provides that:

“There shall be 5 Members of the Ethics Committee to be headed by the Chairman and 4 other members. At least, one member of the Committee shall have a background in criminal law and another shall have a background in investigative work.”

The Executive Council, acting under Articles 32(2)(r), 55(5) and 57(1) of the Statutes, had submitted the proposed membership of the Committee to the Congress of the Ghana Football Association for approval.

The new mandate of the Ethics Committee will terminate on August 26, 2028.
