Rospak FC goalkeeper Evans Blay, King Faisal's Nasiru Eblah and Hohoe United's Sena Ati have been named in Eric Bekoe’s Team of the Week for Matchday One of the Access Bank Division One League.
The trio are joined by center backs Abdul Rashid of Mighty Royals and Stephen Nayire of FC Nania. Sabi Abdulai of Wa Power FC makes the midfielders together with Ernest Frimpong of Okwawu United, Reindorf A. Osei of Asekem and Sena Ati of Hohoe United.
Bernard Kokonu and Dickson Afoakwa complete the list as the two centre forwards. Kokonu scored twice for New Edubiase United in Zone Two, while former Asante Kotoko forward Dickson Afoakwa netted a brace for Rainmasters FC (formerly known as Accra Athletic) in their opening day victory against True Democracy FC.
Eric Bekoe is a renowned Ghanaian footballer who had a successful career in the Ghana Premier League. Bekoe played as a forward for Liberty Professionals, Kpando Heart of Lions, Asante Kotoko, Berekum Chelsea and Sekondi Hasaacas. Bekoe was the top scorer and winner of the Ghana Premier League in 2008 with Asante Kotoko SC. After his impressive performance in the Ghana Premier League, he moved abroad to play for Petroject of Egypt.
