
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Decathlon Ghana, on 5th March, 2025 renewed their partnership at a ceremony held at the Decathlon Superstore at the Accra Mall.
In attendance were key stakeholders, including Geoffrey Fadloul, CEO of Decathlon Ghana, board members of Decathlon Ghana, and representatives from Decathlon France, led by Gonzalo Diez, Company Lead for Middle East and Africa.
The GFA was represented by its President, Kurt E. S. Okraku, who was accompanied by Jamil Maraby, Director of Marketing, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, Head of Public Relations and Strategy, and John Paintsil, Assistant Coach of the Black Stars of Ghana.
During the ceremony, Decathlon Ghana CEO, Geoffrey Fadloul, praised the partnership between the GFA and Decathlon, emphasizing the company's commitment to supporting the GFA in building Ghana Football.
The GFA President expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Decathlon for their unwavering support over the past four years. The President made specific mention of the benefits of the partnership to especially Women's Football at various levels. He went on to assure Decathlon that the GFA would continue to work with them in the spirit of integrity.
On his part, Mr. Gonzalo Diez expressed the belief that the partnership between the Association and Decathlon would be a long lasting one that would benefit both organisations and impact the general football ecosystem in Ghana for years to come.
This renewed partnership marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between the GFA and Decathlon, as both organisations continue to work together to promote and develop football in Ghana.
