The Ghana Football Association has written to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), informing the governing body of FC Nania's withdrawal from this year's Confederation Cup competition.

The Division One side informed the GFA of their decision this week.

Nania were due to play Guinea side Sequence FC this weekend in the first round of what would have been their debut season in Africa after they won the Ghana FA Cup last season.

The GFA has also communicated Nania's decision to pull out of the competition to the Guinea Football Federation and the match referees through the Burkinabe Federation.
