Asante Kotoko's hopes of maintaining their winning run was cut short after losing 1-0 to King Faisal in the First Capital Plus Premier League on Wednesday.
A last-gasp winner by Wilson Andoh sealed all the spoils for Faisal in the Kumasi derby.
And it ended Kotoko's three-game run and halts the Porcupine Warriors's charge of opening up the gap at the summit.
Andoh scored the match winner in the 93rd minute.
Despite the loss, Kotoko still hold a 12-point lead at the top.
