Family of Christian Atsu, GFA call on Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif

The Twasam family of Ada and officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have called on Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif (Hon.) at his office in Accra. The meeting was to share with him the unfortunate news about the demise of Christian Atsu Twasam, the funeral arrangements and other important issues relating to the one week observation and the date for the final funeral rites.

In attendance was Alhaji Hafiz Adam, Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Others included, Chief Accountant, Dr. Haruna Osman Tweneboah, Chief Protocol Officer, Diana Boateng and Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Annang.

The family was led by Nene Kofi Twasam III, Head of the Twasam family of Ada, whilst Executive Council Member Nana Sarfo Oduro, Deputy General Secretary, Alex Asante and Director of Communications Henry Asante Twum represented the GFA.

The former Chelsea, Everton, and Newcastle United player made 65 appearances and scored 9 goals for the Black Stars in an International career that spanned seven years.

The one week observation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
