Schools from the Greater Accra region have received footballs from the Ghana Football Association as part of the FIFA Football for Schools project.

The Physical Education teachers who were trained by the FIFA specialists last month received the balls on behalf of their respective schools at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Wednesday morning.

About 3000 schools from across every region of the country will also receive footballs as part of the programme which was launched in Ghana in August.

50 Physical Education teachers who were trained as part of the programme are also expected to train other Physical Education Teachers in their respective Districts and Regions for the enhancement of the programme.

This programme forms part of the GFA's quest to develop all aspects of the game and to ensure that members are duly supported by FIFA to boost capacity.
