The Elite U15 Girls Championship kicks off at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram on Monday, July 15th, 2024.

Teams from all the ten (10) Regional Football Associations arrived at the Center on Sunday ahead of the kick-off of the championship on Monday.

Organizers of the championship, on Sunday afternoon, held a crucial meeting focused on safeguarding orientation for the teams, ensuring that all participants are well-prepared and informed ahead of the competition.

The teams, which have been divided into two groups, made up of five teams in each group, will kick start their campaign for talent identification on Monday July 15, through to Wednesday July 24, 2024.

Four exciting matches will take place on the opening day of the 10-day championship, starting Monday July 15, 2024.

Ashanti Region and Eastern Region will begin their bids for honours when they face each other in their opening Championship fixture on Monday, scheduled for 0800 GMT at the GFA's esteemed Technical Centre in Prampram.

Upper East and Northern Region will battle each other in the second match of the day (10am) before Greater Accra Region will slug it out with Upper West Region (14:00 GMT, 2pm).

Bono Ahafo Football Region will wrap up matchday-1 with a tie against Volta Region, scheduled for 16:00GMT (4pm).

The championship forms part of the implementation phase of FIFA's Talent Development Scheme (TDS) by the GFA, aimed at talent identification and development of the next generation of top football stars.

The 10-day championship also aims to identify, train, develop and empower the young female footballers, a goal that is an integral part of the GFA's Women’s Football Strategy (2023-2026).

The tournament will feature the best Under-15 female players from the ten Regional Football Associations.
