The fixtures for the 2026 Elite U15 Girls Championship, which is set to kick off on Friday, June 5, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, has been announced.
The championship, organized under FIFA's Talent Development Scheme (TDS), will bring together the most promising young female footballers from the ten regions of Ghana as part of the FA's talent identification and development programme.
A total of five matches have been scheduled for the opening day, with four games taking place on Pitch 1 and one fixture on Pitch 2.
The opening match of the tournament will see the Ashanti Region take on the Western Region in the morning session on Pitch 1. This will be followed by a clash between the Eastern Region and Elite Academy – Bolgatanga SHS as teams begin their quest to showcase the next generation of female football talent.
In the afternoon, the Volta Region will lock horns with the Northern Region in what promises to be an exciting encounter. The final game on Pitch 1 will feature the Central Region against the Brong Ahafo Region.
Meanwhile, on Pitch 2, the Upper West Region will face the Upper East Region in the only scheduled fixture on the pitch for Matchday One. The Greater Accra Region will be on standby and will not be in action on the opening day.
The championship is expected to provide a platform for young players to demonstrate their abilities before scouts, coaches and technical experts. While the matches will be fiercely contested, the primary objective remains talent identification and development rather than the pursuit of trophies.
With some of the country's brightest young female footballers set to take centre stage, the tournament promises to deliver exciting football and further strengthen the pathway for future national team players.
