FIFA TDS: Groupings Released for 2026 Elite U15 Girls Championship

The groupings for the 2026 Elite U15 Girls Championship, which is scheduled to take place from June 5 to June 10 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram has been announced.

The championship, organized under FIFA's Talent Development Scheme (TDS), will bring together the best young female football talents from all ten regions of Ghana as part of the FA's commitment to grassroots player development and talent identification.

Group A comprises the Ashanti Region, Eastern Region, Volta Region, Northern Region, Elite Academy – Bolgatanga SHS and the Western Region. The group is expected to produce exciting encounters as teams compete to showcase their emerging talents.

Group B features the Greater Accra Region, Upper West Region, Upper East Region, Central Region and Brong Ahafo Region. With several promising young players expected to participate, the group promises to deliver competitive and entertaining football throughout the tournament.

Unlike traditional competitions where the primary focus is on winning trophies, the Elite U15 Girls Championship places greater emphasis on talent identification and player development.

The tournament is designed to provide young footballers with an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities before coaches, scouts and technical experts tasked with identifying future national team prospects.

The championship forms a key part of FIFA's Talent Development Scheme and has become an important platform for nurturing the next generation of female footballers in Ghana.

Through regular assessment and exposure to high-level competition, players are given the opportunity to accelerate their development and prepare for future opportunities within the national team structure.
