The final matches of Group A in the Elite U15 Boys Championship delivered intense competition, with Northern Region and Western Region sharing the spoils in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

Mohammed Ahmed and Shamsudeen Sulemana found the back of the net for Northern Region, while Jonathan Aloo and Sabour Isaahaque scored for Western Region.

With the game tied at full time, the contest moved to a penalty shootout, where Northern Region clinched the win 7-6. Despite their victory, Northern Region remains in second place in Group A with 8 points, trailing behind Ashanti Region, who top the group with 12 points and have already secured a spot in the final.

In the other Group A match, Upper East Region and Eastern Region also played out a 2-2 draw. Akurubilla Victor and Kwara Abdul Baari were the scorers for Upper East, while Owusu Promise and Dankwa Jeff netted for Eastern Region. The match proceeded to penalties, where Eastern Region triumphed 2-1, securing a vital win in their final group outing.

The reserves game also provided plenty of action as Ashanti Region and Greater Accra battled to a 2-2 draw. Abraham Owusu and Kunde Abraham scored for Ashanti Region, while Emmanuel Wilson and Nhyira Nissi were on target for Greater Accra. Greater Accra proved to be more accurate in the penalty shootout, winning 5-4.

With the group stage now complete, Ashanti Region advances to the finals, maintaining their unbeaten record with 12 points. Northern Region finishes as runners-up with 8 points, keeping the competitive spirit high throughout the group stage. The championship promises an exciting conclusion as the top teams gear up for the final showdown.
