Regional teams for the maiden Edition of the Elite U15 Girls Championship have arrived at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Delegations from the Brong Ahafo, Eastern, Upper West and Northern Regions arrived in the early hours of Sunday, followed by the Western, Greater Accra, Ashanti, Upper East, Central and Volta Regions, later in the afternoon to mark the commencement of the much-anticipated tournament's preparations.
All the regions have made their way to the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence, announcing their readiness for the commencement of the championship, which forms a key part of the GFA's implementation of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme as well as the GFA's Women's Football Strategy.
Organizers of the championship, on Sunday afternoon, will hold a crucial meeting focused on safeguarding and orientation for the teams, ensuring that all participants are well-prepared and informed ahead of the competition.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 15th and will run through to the finals on July 24th, 2024.
This championship is set to bring together some of the most talented young female footballers from across the country, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and compete at a high level.
The Elite U15 Girls Championship is not only a competition but also an opportunity for these young athletes to develop their talents and gain valuable experience while Elite Scouts and National Coaches also observe them to pick the best talents for the national teams.
As the teams settle in and prepare for the upcoming matches, excitement is building up for what promises to be a thrilling and competitive tournament.
