Under-15 girls from all ten Regional Football Associations have gathered at the Technical Center of the Ghana Football Association, the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram ahead of the kick-off of the Elite U15 Girls Championship.

The ten-day tournament serves as a platform for talent identification for the female national teams and is part of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme.

All regional teams arrived at the center on Sunday, ready to kick off the tournament on Monday. Upon their arrival, the girls and their technical staff underwent a comprehensive Safeguarding Orientation. This session was crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the championship.

The orientation covered essential topics such as codes of conduct for the technical staff, do's and don'ts for the girls, and the various forms of abuse that the girls might face.

The session also provided information on how and where to report any incidents of abuse, ensuring that all participants are aware of their rights and the mechanisms in place to protect them.

The Elite U15 Girls Championship is set to begin on Monday morning at 8:00 AM. The tournament not only aims to identify and nurture young talent but also to instil important values and knowledge about safeguarding and personal conduct.

This underscores the commitment of the Ghana Football Association and FIFA to the development and protection of young female footballers.

The championship promises to be a competitive and enriching experience for all participants, creating a pathway to potential success for these young female footballers.
