As part of the orientation for the Elite U15 Boys Championship, a crucial safeguarding seminar was held for the participating players and coaches at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram. The seminar, conducted on the eve of the tournament's kick-off, aimed to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all involved in the competition.

Led by head of the Integrity Unit of the association, Obed Tuffour, the session was tailored to educate players, coaches, and officials about the importance of safeguarding young athletes.

Topics covered during the seminar included the rights of young players, the role of coaches and guardians in providing a safe space for development, and the procedures to follow if any issues arise during the tournament.

The discussion emphasized the shared responsibility of all participants in maintaining a respectful and secure atmosphere throughout the championship.

The Integrity Officer underscored that the safeguarding of young players is a top priority, not only during competitions but throughout their entire development journey. The seminar encouraged open communication between players, coaches, and staff, fostering a culture of trust and accountability.

The seminar was met with positive feedback from both players and coaches, who appreciated the focus on their well-being alongside the competitive aspects of the tournament.

It served as a reminder that while the championship is an opportunity for players to showcase their talents, their safety and welfare remain paramount.

The Elite U15 Boys Championship is part of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme designed to identify and nurture promising young players and offer them a platform to compete at a high level.
