The Technical Directorate held a one-day seminar for national scouts and regional coaches as part of the ongoing FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) during the Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship. The event, facilitated by GFA’s Technical Director, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah and head of Talent Identification and Development, Papa Nii Lartey, provided a platform for sharing valuable insights on talent identification and development.

A key highlight of the seminar was a session led by FIFA Talent Identification Expert, Laban Scott Libby, who shared his expertise and best practices with the coaches in attendance. Libby’s presentation focused on modern approaches to identifying young talents and maximizing their potential, equipping the participants with new perspectives and methods to apply in their scouting activities.

The seminar was attended by regional scouts present at the championship, along with all the regional coaches who managed their respective U15 teams. This gathering aimed to enhance the coaches' skills and strategies in nurturing young talents when they return to their regions, reinforcing the objectives of the FIFA TDS program.

Notable attendees included the Chairman of the U15 Championship Committee, who also serves as an Executive Council member of the GFA, Eugene Noel Nobel and RFAs Coordinator Daasebre Adu Asare.

Also in attendance was Michael Kwabla Fiaduse, a member of the National Juvenile Committee and the Organizing Committee of the Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship, and Barbara Yankah, a member of the GFA Competitions Committee.

The seminar concluded on a positive note, emphasizing the importance of continued learning and collaboration among scouts and coaches to ensure the growth of youth football in Ghana.
