Five Elmina Sharks officials have been fined GHS 10,000 each and banned for the rest of the season after being found guilty of misconduct during a league match against Swedru All Blacks United FC on February 16, 2025.
George Wiredu, Seth Armstrong, Kelvin Aboagye, Joshua Kyibazah and Kingsley Arthur have been found guilty of unlawfully invading the field of play to confront match officials over a penalty decision, inciting violence, and attempting to assault referees after the game.
The five officials have also been warned that any further misconduct will attract severe sanctions.
They are also to pay GHS 10,000 each as part of their punishment.
The punishment follows their involvement in incidents that violated the Football Association's regulations during a league match.
The sanctions imposed by the GFA means the officials will be unable to partake in any football-related activities for the remainder of the current season.
