The Football4Girls initiative, launched in 2022 by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES), is a cornerstone of the GFA's development program and women's football strategy. This initiative focuses on implementing grassroots football programs, particularly targeting girls, and will introduce the Football4Girls project in several schools within the Akwadum area.

The participating schools are:

  • Akwadum M/A Primary School
  • Akwadum Methodist School
  • Akwadum Islamic School
  • Akwadum R/C School
  • Brong Densuso M/A
  • Akwadum Christian Village

The event is scheduled for Friday, March 28, 2025. The project aims to:

  • Educate and empower girls, helping them overcome misconceptions about playing football.
  • Foster the growth of grassroots football.
  • Identify and nurture young talents.

Through this initiative, the GFA seeks to advance women's football and empower girls by leveraging the transformative power of sports.
