Former Minister of Youth and Sports Enoch Teye Mensah dies at 77

Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Enoch Teye Mensah has passed on. The former Ningo Prampram Member of Parliament died at the age of 77 at a hospital in South Africa.

The late politician was Ghana's first Minister of Youth and Sports in the Fourth Republic, under former President Jerry Jon Rawlings (Late) - held the position from 1993 to 2001.

Honourable E.T Mensah also served as Minister of Education and as well as the Minister of Employment and Social Welfare during the government of the National Democratic Party. He was also a member of the Council of State after leaving Parliament in 2016.

The late Sports Minister was instrumental in GFA acquisition of the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram.

President Simeon-Okraku and the entire football community send our sincerest condolences to the family of our beloved former Youth and Sports Minister.
