Fosu Royal Ladies, KUSA qualify for Malta Guinness Women's Premier League

Brong Ahafo Regional Champions Fosu Royal Ladies beat FC Savannah Ladies 3:2 to qualify for next season's Malta Guinness Women's Premier League.

Patricia Adjei opened the scoring for the Techiman based club in the 29th minute but that was short lived as Sakina Hanan equalised for FC Savannah through a free kick 4 minutes later.

Back from recess, Patricia Adjei scored her second of the day to restore Fosu Royal Ladies lead in the 62nd minute. FC Savannah pushed for the equaliser and made it count in the 91st minute courtesy a sensational volley in the 91st minute.

FC Savannah packed the bus in search of a point but the plan was deflated in the 93rd minute when Eunice Pokuaa shot into the top corner to secure the points for Fosu Royal Ladies. The results put Fosu Royal Ladies on top of the Northern Zone table with 12 points.

Meanwhile Kumasi Sports Academy hammered Real Crusaders 6:2 to move second in the table and also securing a ticket in next seasons Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

Real Crusaders who are without a point after going winless in three matches came into the game hoping to salvage their image. But that came to naught. Vera Yeboah scored for Real Crusaders in the 13th minute but the Kumasi based club responded in the 16th minute through Pearl Asantewaa to draw them level.

The one sided game saw a brace from Gertrude Amoafo whilst Afia Nyarko, Bernice Aboagyewaa, Constance Korsah registered their name on the score sheet.

Rafiatu Tijani later scored to reduce the deficit for Real crusaders as the game ended 6:2 in favour of Kumasi Sports Academy. This result puts Kumasi Sports Academy – second in the League table with 12 points.
