Techiman based Fosu Royal Ladies, Kumasi Sports Academy, Sea Lions and Grerater Accra champions Jonina Ladies will play in the 2023/24 Malta Guinness Women's Premier League after picking their tickets in the just ended Regional Women's championship.
The four teams qualified after five rounds of matches in the Northern and Southern Zones of the Regional Women's championship.
Fosu Royal Ladies finished as winners in the Northern Zone with Kumasi Sports Academy finishing in second place with unbeaten record.
In the Southern Zone, Jonina Ladies FC qualified despite losing 3-1 to returnees Sea Lions on Matchday 5 in a 4-goal thriller.
Fosu Royal Ladies and Kumasi Sports Academy would now compete with the likes of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, PearlPia Ladies, Northern Ladies, Dreamz Ladies, Ashtown Ladies, Prisons Ladies. Supreme Ladies and Tamale Super Ladies next season.
The Southern Zone would also have Jonina Ladies FC and Sea Lions FC competing with giants Hasaacas Ladies, Army Ladies, Faith Ladies, Police Ladies, Lady Strikers, Essiam Socrates, Soccer Intellectuals and Berry Ladies.
The 2023/2024 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League is expected to be very competitive with the return of Kumasi Sports Academy and Sea Lions as well as newbies Fosu Royal Ladies and Jonina FC.
