Free License D Coaching Course for Colts and Women’s Club Coaches Takes Shape in Northern Region

The free License D Coaching Course being offered by the Ghana Football Association has commenced in the Northern Region, and will run from August 13, 2024 to August 20, 2024.

The one-week intensive training course is aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of coaches at the grassroots level.

Ongoing at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in the Northern Region, the course has attracted 40 participants, including 30 coaches from Colts (juvenile) clubs and 10 coaches from women’s clubs in the region. The GFA is offering this course at no cost to the participants, reflecting its commitment to improving the quality of coaching and football development across the country.

The course is being led by an experienced team of instructors, including Abukari Damba, Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko, Mohammed Nassam and Baba Nuhu Malam, all of whom bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the program.

Their involvement ensures that participants receive high-quality training that is both practical and relevant to the challenges of coaching at the grassroots level.

By providing this training, the GFA aims to equip grassroots coaches with the necessary tools to effectively develop young football talents and improve the overall standard of football in the country.

As the course progresses, participants will engage in a series of sessions designed to enhance their tactical understanding, technical abilities, coaching methodologies.

Participants will also receive lessons on Safeguarding aimed at educating and informing participants about the GFA’s commitment to the principle that all children/young players have the right to participate in football in an environment free from harm or abuse.

Upon successful completion, each coach will receive a certificate recognising their achievement.
