The leadership of the Ghana Football Association wishes to congratulate Youth and Sports Minister Hon. Mustapha Ussif, for his recognition as the Best Sports Minister at the inaugural Africa Sports and Tourism Awards.

The accolade bestowed upon him in Abuja, Nigeria is in recognition of his marvelous leadership and unwavering efforts in advancing the sports sector across the African continent.

Under Hon. Mustapha Ussif's guidance, there have been significant strides in the development of sports infrastructure, grassroots programs, and support for athletes across disciplines.

''I think it's worth commending the Hon. Mustapha Ussif for the successful and historic hosting of the 13th African Games in Ghana and his support for football since he assumed office'' President Simeon-Okraku said.

''We are confident that under his stewardship, Ghana's sporting endeavors will continue to flourish to inspire generations to come''.

Hon. Mustapha Ussif is a member of the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana representing the Yagaba-Kubori Constituency in the North-East Region of Ghana. He assumed office as Ghana's Youth and Sports Minister in March 2021.
