GFA President Kurt Okraku in Kumasi for Kotoko’s CAF Confederation Cup match against Asante Kotoko
Newly elected GFA president Kurt E.S Okraku has offered massive support to Asante Kotoko ahead of their CAF Confederation’s Cup match against San Pedro of Ivory Coast.
Mr Okraku who was elected as president of the football association on Friday 25 October 2019 arrived in Kumasi on Sunday to back the Porcupine warriors as they seek to make it into the group stage of the competition.
A win for Kotoko today will give them a huge morale booster ahead of the return leg which will be played next weekend.
“When you go out on the pitch, you should know that it is not only Asante Kotoko SC behind you, you have the GFA and the entire football fraternity and all Ghanaians with you.
“I believe in your quality & have no doubt that you make us all proud", the football association boss said in his meeting with the players and technical team of Asante Kotoko ahead of Sunday’s game.
Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko Dr Kwame Kyei thanked the President of the GFA for his presence and support for the team and stated that this is a huge motivation for the players to go all out and deliver.
The GFA President and some members of the Executive Council will be present at the Baba Yara stadium for today’s first leg encounter.
