The Football Association's nationwide Talent Identification Programme (TID) enters its final phase on Friday, August 7, with the Northern and Upper East Regions set to host the concluding assessments for admission into the Association's 2026 Elite Academy Schools.
The exercise forms part of the GFA's long-term strategy to identify, nurture and develop the country's most promising young footballers while reinforcing the importance of balancing sporting excellence with quality education.
The final selection stage will assemble players who impressed during the first and second phases of the nationwide scouting exercise. These emerging talents will undergo comprehensive evaluations by the GFA's Technical Directorate and accredited scouts as they compete for places at the Association's Elite Academy Schools based at Bolgatanga Senior High School, Prempeh College and Achimota School.
Around 60 talented boys and girls are expected to take part in the assessment, providing them with another opportunity to showcase their abilities and move a step closer to fulfilling their football and academic aspirations.
The assessments will be held at the Kurt E.S. Okraku Stadium, which has been selected as the venue for the final evaluations as the GFA continues to strengthen its player development pathway.
The Talent Identification Programme has become a key pillar of the GFA's grassroots football agenda, creating equal opportunities for gifted youngsters across the country to be discovered, developed and prepared for the future.
