The Football Association will organise a one-day seminar for Match Commissioners on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, as part of preparations for the start of the 2026/27 football season.
The important training session will take place at the Headquarters of the Ghana Football Association and will bring together Match Commissioners for discussions and capacity-building ahead of the new campaign.
The seminar will be led by General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and will focus on key areas aimed at strengthening matchday organisation, safety, security and the overall administration of football competitions.
The seminar will also provide further clarity on the roles and responsibilities of Match Commissioners, who play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth organisation and proper conduct of matches.
Discussions will cover the effective conduct of technical meetings, which remain an essential aspect of matchday preparations and coordination among the various stakeholders involved in a football match.
Participants will also receive further guidance on match reporting, with emphasis on the importance of accurate, comprehensive and timely reports in supporting effective decision-making and competition management.
The seminar is expected to provide an important platform for engagement, learning and the sharing of experiences as Match Commissioners prepare to take up their responsibilities for another demanding and exciting football season.
