Ghana's coaching staff are satisfied with the performance exhibited by the Black Stars in the 1-1 draw game with South Africa on Sunday.

The host took the lead in the seventh minute at Royal Bafokeng Stadium when Thami Sangweni beat goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey with a long-range shot before Sulley Muntari equalized for Ghana five minutes later with a looping effort.

Kwesi Appiah, assistant coach of the Black Stars says the game provided them with what they needed.

“We had a good training match,” said Ghana assistant coach Kwesi Appiah.

“For us, it gave us what we needed, tactically, attacking (wise) and defensively.”

The game was the first of two planned practice games with the next coming against local club side Platinum Stars, before the squad departs for Gabon.
