The women’s Olympic team has been drawn against Angola for the first round of qualifiers for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games competition.

The Confederation of African Football – CAF, conducted the draw at its headquarters in Cairo on Thursday.

Ghana would host the first leg on February 18 with the Black Queens playing the return leg against the Angolans on March 11.

The Black Queens narrowly missed out of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games after failing to clear the hurdle in the last qualifier when they fell to Nigeria.

Africa has a single slot for the Olympic Games and the 14 nations could be seeking to pick the sole ticket.

The other fixtures for the qualifying rounds are Liberia-Ethiopia, Nigeria-Senegal, Guinea-Zimbabwe, Eritrea-Morocco, Equatorial Guinea-South Africa, Namibia-DR Congo and Mozambique-Algeria.
