Ghana Premier League returns after MTN FA Cup break

The 2023-24 Ghana Premier League returns this weekend following a break for the MTN FA Cup semi-final games which bewitched fans at the WAFA park in Sogakope at the weekend.

The final five games will prove crucial in the title decider and the battle to avoid relegation from the country's top-flight league.

Second-placed Nations FC gets the weekend underway with a crunch tie against Accra Lions at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex on Friday May 17, 2024.

There are two heavyweights matches to look forward to on Saturday as giants Asante Kotoko travel to the Golden City park to battle Berekum Chelsea while Legon Cities and Accra Great Olympics slug it out at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

There are six (6) remaining matches on Sunday with Hearts of Oak taking on Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium with the match set to kickoff at 15:00GMT (3pm).

Nsoatreman FC host Bibiani GoldStars at the Professor Nana Kalamansis park while Karela United travel to the Nana Gyeabour park to face Bechem United.

Defending champions Medeama are back at home to battle relegation-threatened Real Tamale United (RTU) while Dreams FC take on fellow strugglers Heart of Lions at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

League leaders will FC Samartex 1996 battle Bofoakwa Tano at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday.
