Ghana slips on the ranking table

The Black Stars have dropped a single place on the world ranking table in the current edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking released today.

Ghana now sits at the 26th position on the world ranking table with an accumulated build up of 805 points having lost 34 points.

The Black Stars, despite slipping on the continental table thus maintain their place among the top five sides in Africa.

Ghana dropped from the third position on the African ranking table to the fourth position.

Cameroon remains Africa's top-rated national side after also slipping down the global table in the latest Fifa rankings.

Egypt and Nigeria follow the leaders in that order.

According to FIFA, the ranking has seen dramatic changes this month after 134 international matches were played in the last few weeks, including 94 qualifiers for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.

European Champions, Spain are still leaders followed by Germany and Italy.
