Ghana to open Football for Hope Project

The Ghana Football Association on Saturday will open the Football for Hope Project in Cape Coast.

GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi will be joined by Fifa Development officer for West Africa Sampon Kablan, Ian and Lucy Mills of Streetfootball World and other personalities to commission the centre designed to aid needy children through football and education.

The project, an idea of FIFA President, Sepp Blatter and funded by the sport governing body is a lasting legacy for Africa following the successful hosting of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The facility in Cape Coast, in the Central Region of Ghana has an artificial pitch, office and ICT block with classrooms.
