Ghana U15 Boys and Girls to face Cote D'voire in semi-finals of WAFU B African Schools Football Championship
The Ghana Schools U15 Boys and Girls will face off against Cote D'voire in the semi-finals of the WAFU B African Football African Schools Football Championship respectively on Thursday November 21, 2024.
The Boys advanced to the last four after drawing 1-1 against Burkina Faso and thrashed Niger 5-0 in Wednesday's opening Group A games.
They have set up a semi-final contest against Cote D'voire, scheduled to take place on Thursday November 21, 2024, in Niamey, Niger.
The Girls will also battle neighbours Cote D'voire in the semi-finals on Thursday after they topped their group after beating Burkina Faso and Niger.
A total of six WAFU B nations are participating in both the boys and girls divisions of the tournament, where each nation will contest the honours of being crowned champions of the zone and secure a place at the CAF African Schools Football Championship Finals set to take place in 2025.
The top two finishers in both groups will proceed to the finals that will then determine the crowning of the champions as well as a ticket to the CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals next year.
The CAF African Schools Football Championship is in line with CAF’s indicated intent to develop successive generations of African football stars from the grassroots stage so as to provide them with a strong foundation for potential success in the foreseeable future.
