Ghana's CHAN hopes failing

Ghana's chances of advancing from the group stages of the African Nations Championship looks a distant possibility after losing their second game to Zimbabwe.

A 70th minute goal from the head of attacker Archford Gutu, after he was left unmarked flew beyond goalkeeper Sammy Adjei, to condemn coach Herbert Addo's side to a 1-0 defeat and they are still without a point after their opening day loss to South Africa.

Sitting at the bottom of the four-team Group B table, Ghana must now win their final game by a healthy margin against Niger and hope Zimbabwe lose to South Africa in the final round of group matches.

It's a poor start that team would seek to forget easily and hope for a final day miracle in Sudan.
