The squad numbers for Ghana’s 2010 World Cup team have been officially released.

This follows the announcement of Milovan Rajevac’s final 23-man list submitted to FIFA last Saturday.

Captain Stephen Appiah reclaims the number 10 last used by Kwadwo Asamoah at the African Nations Cup with the Udinese player going for the number 21 jersey.

Kevin-Prince Boateng gets the number 23 shirt as he prepares to play his debut tournament for the Black Stars since completing his switch as a Ghana international from a German youth player.

Young defender Jonathan Mensah has been handed the number 8 shirt, regularly put on by Michael Essien who is out injured.

Goalkeeper Richard Kingson retains his number 22 top with John Mensah also holding onto his favourite jersey, the number 5.
