Ghana's opening game at the Wafu Nations Cup against Togo has been pushed forward, 24 hours ahead of the original date.

The Black Meteors were scheduled to have played Togo on Friday but would now take on the Hawks in the Group B opener on Saturday following a last-minute withdrawal of Senegal from the regional championship.

Organisers have revised the timetable of games and Friday will now be a rest day.

The absence of Senegal means that Group B has also been reduced to three teams - Gambia, Togo and Ghana.

Group A has also been affected by another withdrawal after Mali who were to play hosts, Nigeria pulled out.

The fixture in Group A was rearranged as the hosts began the defence of their Wafu Cup title with a 1-0 win over Liberia.
