Kumasi Asante Kotoko have now gone six matches without a win in the Premier League after they were held 1:1 at home by title rivals, Aduana Stars in Kumasi.
The Porcupine Warriors have not won a game since defeating WAFA at the Baba Yara Stadium on matchday six, and they have since parted company with Coach Zdravco Lugarosic, but the winless run continues.
Any hope of ending the unimpressive run on match day thirteen was frustrated by Aduana. Indeed, Kotoko had to come from a goal down to draw through Abass Mohammed after Sam Adams gave Aduana the lead.
Both Kotoko and Aduana have lost grounds on leaders WAFA, who continued with their remarkable seven-match unbeaten run in the league with a 2:1 win over Liberty Professionals in Sogakope.
Interestingly, Kotoko was the last club WAFA lost to in the league, and WAFA are now 3 points clear of Aduana on the table.
In Bolga, All Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak sold out a six-goal thriller as the two sides drew 3:3. Ibrahim Giyasu scored a brace with Alhassan Rahim getting the other goal for Bolga All Stars, while Vincent Atinga, Thomas Abbey and Alexandre Kouame Kouassi scored for Hearts.
Tema Youth defeated Accra Great Olympics 2:1 in Tema with the goals coming from Malik Ismaila Antiri and James Akaminko for Tema Youth, and Abel Manomey for Great Olympics.
In Berekum, Alfred Okai Quaye scored the only goal of he match as Berekum Chelsea beat Wa All Stars 1:0, while Ashantigold were held 1:1 at home by Medeama. Prince Owusu Owusu Ronaldo scored for for Ashantigold and Bernard Ofori Dansoman scored for Medeama.
Bechem United were held to a goalless draw by Ebusua Dwarfs in Bechem, and the match between Elmina Sharks and Inter Allies in Elmina also ended 0:0.
The Premier League returns in May after a one week break to pave way for the Ghana at 60 anniversary match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko on May 1, 2017.
