Accra Hearts of Oak's inconsistencies in the Ghana Premier League continued with a defeat to Tema Youth in Tema, while Asante Kotoko took advantage of Aduana Stars' slip up at home.

The Phobians were defeated 2:1 in Tema, which has left them further to 9th on the table, with man of the match, Joseph Paintsil scoring twice. Joseph Paintsil gave Tema Youth an early lead in the 3rd minute and Thomas Abbey equalised for Hearts in the 47th minute. Paintsil completed his brace by grabbing the winner for Tema Youth with 15 minutes to go.

In Dormaa, Aduana Stars were held to a goalless draw by Medeama. The draw halted Aduana's perfect home record and also ends Medeama's two-match winning streak.

Asante Kotoko took advantage of Aduana's slip up by beating WAFA 1:0 in Kumasi courtesy Sarfo Gyamfi's goal. Kotoko are now level on points with Aduana at the top of the table.

Third-placed Bechem United maintained their place on the table despite being held to a goalless draw by Elmina Sharks.

Champions Wa All Stars were held at home by Ebusua Dwarfs in a 1:1 draw. Paul Asare gave All Stars the lead in the 41st minute and as All Stars appeared to be heading for a narrow home win, Nicholas Gyan equalised just three minutes from time.

In another match which ended in draw, Great Olympics were held 1:1 by Inter Allies at the Accra Sports Stadium. David Amuzu opened the scoring for Olympics but Prince Baffoe canceled the goal with 12 minutes remaining.  Olympics are still without a win this season.

Ashantigold, who had lost their last two matches heavily, returned to winning ways with a 1:0 win over Liberty Professionals. Amos Addai was the hero, as he scored the only goal of the match.

In Berekum, Chelsea defeated Bolga All Stars 1:0. The only goal of the match was scored by Briana Mohammed
