Kumasi Asante Kotoko's title charge suffered another jolt after they were held to a goalless drawn game at home by Inter Allies.

With leaders Aduana Stars not playing their opponents, Wa All Stars' participation in a WAFU tournament in Senegal, Kotoko had an opportunity to move three points clear, but they were resisted by a stubborn Inter Allies side.

The Porcupine Warriors, who lead Aduana by a point, have now picked only a point out of a possible six, following their defeat to Hearts of Oak in Accra before the league went on a short break.

In Berekum, Accra Hearts of Oak were brought down back to earth by Berekum Chelsea, who defeated them 1:0. After defeating their arch rivals in their last league match, the Phobians would have been expecting a continuation of their momentum but Stephen Sarfo scored the only goal of the match to derail the Phobians.

After their incredible 4:1 thrashing of Wa All Stars in Wa last week in their outstanding match, WAFA were unstoppable again in Bechem. They registered another remarkable away win by defeating Bechem United 1:0 with Daniel Lomotey scoring the only goal of the match. WAFA are now third, and three points clear of fourth placed Bechem United.

In Accra, Great Olympics registered a rare win, defeating Ebusua Dwarfs by a lone goal. Osah Bernadino Tetteh got the goal for great Olympics.

Three other matches of week nine ended in one All draws. Tema Youth and Medeama shared the points in Tema, while Bolga All Stars held Ashantigold to a draw too.

In Tema, Michael Kporvi scored for Tema Youth while Bismark Oppong  equalised for Medeama. And in Obuasi, Shafiu Mumuni opened the scoring for Ashantigold and Noah Neequaye equalised for Bolga All Stars.

On Saturday, Elmina Sharks and Liberty Professionals also drew 1:1 in Elmina. Benjamin Tweneboah scored for Sharks, but Ernest Papa Arko scored late for Liberty to give them a point.
