“I must use this opportunity to thank GroomDatGirl, I understand they are the people who championed this. On behalf of the Executive Council and the entire football family in the Volta region, I want to express our gratitude for this amazing work you have done for us.”
“We are aware that some girls are not participating in the game of football because they feel intimidated during their menstrual period. "we all know naturally menstruation is a normal thing, but some of them become shy when playing football during their periods, using the pad will definitely make them feel much confident and that will make a young girl who is a footballer become the Adjoa Bayor of the future”.
“ I thank the media group who are also supporting this program. Once this is the beginning a lot more will come and our arms are wide open to receive such a thing that will motivate our female footballers in the region” Mr. Agbogah said.
The Team Lead of GroomDatGirl, Tilda Acorlor said supporting Women’s footballers in the region will develop their skills to become better players for the region.
“We at GroomDatGirl realized that female footballers are always left behind and sometimes totally forgotten when it comes to celebrations like the World Menstrual Hygiene Day and other celebrations involving women” she said.
“This time around GroomDatGirl is focusing on them, we want to appreciate their skills and show them love by helping to get this sanitary product from Lovemak Ventures. We are doing this to enhance and support the skills of our girls who play football in the region, so that some day nothing will hinder them from becoming good players for our region’’ she added.
