Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan and teammate, Kwadwo Asamoah have been included on the 25-man shortlist for Africa football’s most prestigious individual prize.
The duo are the only Ghana internationals to have made the cut for the 2013 African Player of the Year released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Friday.
The winners will be announced at the Glo-CAF Awards Gala scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria.
Gyan and Asamoah are joined by a host of African greats which includes reigning champion Yaya Toure of Ivory Coast for the prize.
