On-loan Sunderland player, Asamoah Gyan has revealed he is in negotiations to extend his stay in the UAE with Al Ain.

The Ghanaian has been on a season long loan contract since September from the English side.

Though his contract is close to expiring, the 26-year-old is not planning to return to his parent club as he considers his future.

Gyan, who is enjoying a successful spell in the UAE league where he is the league's top scorer with 19 goals this term has made it known he has options elsewhere.

"I'm in negotiations with Al Ain," Gyan told Gulf News. "I'm very happy here.

"But there are quite a few clubs interested and I will see what is the best option before making a decision."
