Ghana and Asante Kotoko defender Harrison Afful will take time off his trial sessions with Dutch side, Feyenoord to play for the league champions in their continental campaign on Friday.

Afful, who has started his trial stint with the Dutch side, will join his Kotoko colleagues in Tripoli later on Tuesday as the Porcupine Warriors take on Al-Ittihad on Friday in the first leg of the Confederations Cup final sixteen game.

Feyenoord, this week confirmed that the national defender will be on trial with the club this month.

However, Harrison Afful will team up with Kotoko teammates for Friday’s game before returning to Holland to continue with the trials after the game against Al-Ittihad.

The 21 year-old, a product of Feyenoord’s feeder team in Ghana, Gomoa Feyenoord Academy joined Asante Kotoko on loan.

He has been a revelation since breaking into the Black Stars squad and maintaining a regular starting place.
