Accra Hearts Oak stretched their winless run in the Premier League to three games with a frustrating 1-1 draw against WAFA in Accra.
Charles Boateng stunned the Phobians with the opener in the 34th minute, and held on to frustrate Hearts for a long time.
However Hearts of oak’s persistence paid off as Cosmos Dauda hit back in the 74th minute. Dauda’s equalizer was though by many Phobians to be a lunch-pad for another great comeback, but WAFA held on tightly.
With leaders All Stars losing at Bechem United, the draw helped second-placed Hearts to close in, reducing All Stars’ lead to just two.
However, the result extends Hearts of Oak’s recent disappointing results after their impressive start to the season.
The phobians are yet to win in three premier league matches since their stunning comeback against Inter Allies at Tema in week 5 of the premier league.
