Sellasie Adjei’s 7th minute goal has given Hearts of Oak a victory over rivals Asante Kotoko in their First Capital Plus Premier League match played at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday.
After Ofori Antwi saved Richard Yamoah’s initial shot on on goal, Adjei latched on to the ball and drilled home to give the Phobians their second win of the season and the bragging rights over Kotoko.
Coming into the game, Kotoko looked slightly ahead of their opponents who had appeared quite inconsistent so fa this season
But Coach Herbert Addo’s side travelled to Kumasi with only aim on their mind as they inflicted Kotoko’s second defeat of the season.
The win takes Hearts of Oak to 11th on the League table with Kotoko slipping to 7th after six matches into the season.
