The contract of Prince Tagoe with German side TSG Hoffenheim has been ended due to concerns of his health.

Tagoe, 23, joined the German side on a three-year deal after having passed his medical in June but a second test last week revealed heart-related complications.

Hoffenheim on Wednesday announced the cancellation of the contract because the striker will not be granted a player license to play in the top flight.

"Given the current situation we can not be held responsible, Prince Tagoe cannot participate in any sporting activity of the club participate in it.

"We're sorry, but we also have no evidence that this will change. Against this background, therefore the employment relationship with the player will not be maintained," part of a club statement read.

But Tagoe's agent says the player absolutely has no heart problem as claimed by Hoffenheim.

According to the agent, two medical examinations had cleared him of an opened valve.
