Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah, the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, who also serves as the President of Nsoatreman FC and Baffour Soccer Academy, has expressed his honour and excitement at hosting the upcoming Division One League (DOL) Super Cup tournament. The prestigious event will take place at the Baffour Sports Complex, a facility owned by Hon. Baffour Awuah.
Hon. Baffour Awuah shared his pride and enthusiasm about the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) decision to choose his facility for this significant tournament. "When I heard it for the first time, I thought it was a dream," he confessed, illustrating his initial disbelief and joy upon receiving the news.
He further expressed his gratitude to the GFA for this honor, noting, "I never, at the beginning, thought that a national product would be hosted here."
During the orientation seminar held for the participating clubs on Sunday, Hon. Baffour Awuah took the opportunity to showcase the facilities available at the Baffour Sports Complex. He generously opened up the gym and swimming pool to all the clubs, providing them with access to these resources for the duration of the tournament.
In his address to the players and officials, Hon. Baffour Awuah encouraged them to give their best efforts and contribute to making the tournament a success. He also emphasized the importance of respecting the 'Catch Them Young Referees,' a group of young referees who will officiate the games. His words were aimed at fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and respect throughout the tournament.
