Hasaccas Ladies got the second round of the Women’s Premier League off to a flying start with an impressive 5-1 win on match day 8 of the Women’s Premier League at the Gyandu Park on Saturday.

Hasmal Ladies scored three goals inside the first 10 minutes of the game.

Doris Boaduwaa netted in the 2nd minute of the game as she spotted goalkeeper Beatrice Ntiwa had come off her line. The home side pressed for more goals and that gave them the second one in the 5th minute through Veronica Appiah. The shaky defence of Lady Strikers gifted Hasaacas Ladies another goal in the 10th minute as Milot Abena Pokua pounced on a loose ball to slot home.

The visitors reduced the deficit in the 13th minute, following a miscommunication between the defenders and goalkeeper of Hasacaas ladies Grace Baanwa, Gladys Amfobea was on hand to connect.

The consolation gingered the home side to put in more and Veronica Appiah' s header went straight into the net for her second of the day and fourth for her team. The first half ended 4-1 in favour of Hasaccas Ladies.

The second half started with a lot of chances coming the way of the home side but coach Basigi’s failed to find the net until the 74th minute when Doris Boaduwaa converted beautifully to register her second goal and the 5th for the home side.

Hasaccas Ladies player Evelyn Badu was voted Nasco player of the match.

The win keeps Hasaacas Ladies at the top of the Southern Zone table with 20 points after eight League matches.
