After months in coma, Ghanaian goalkeeper Ibrahim Dossey dies in a Romanian hospital.

The 36 goalkeeper died on Tuesday after having fallen into coma for the past three months, reports quote a family friend as saying.

Dossey, who played for Ghana at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, was involved in a motor accident after the car he was driving went into a head-on collision with another vehicle and went into a coma in September from which he never recovered.

He was rushed to the University Emergency Hospital in Bucharest where he was under constant supervision before he passed away.

Ibrahim Dossey, 2002 best goalkeeper in the Romanian Divizia A, was a member of Ghana's historic Olympics team that won bronze at the Barcelona 1992 Games and has been playing in the Romanian league since 2001.
